| Details | The advanced technical proposal type of comprehensive bidding evaluation method was applied for the construction of Oyama Dam for the first time in Japan. As a result of full consideration of the geographical and geological condition at the construction site and adoption of the economical and rational design, the slope of dam body on the downstream side became steep (1:0.66). The energy dissipator located by the side of the channel, utilizing the level ground of former settlement is also unique. |

Hita City is one of the many famous tourist destinations in Kyushu. With the cosy old shopping town atmosphere, central shopping area of Hita attract many people to come to this town, especially Mameda area of the city, for shopping souvenirs. As the porcelain Village of Onta-yaki is close, many Onta-yaki porcelain tableware shops are located on the above street, welcoming visitors. (Similar surface decoration method is used as Koishibara-yaki porcelain wares.)
