JICA Group Training Course on “Integrated Water Resources Management”

Japan Water Agency did the training course successively in two years row. This course started last year and will last for another three years. This second course began on October 17 to November. There were six trainees participated from Bangladesh, India, Laos, Pakistan, Philippines and Viet Nam.
At the request of last year’s participants, new lectures on “Land Improvement Projects and Land Improvement District“, “Water Supply in Japan”, “Sewage works in Japan” etc.
were added to the program. As the field trip, they visited Tone Barrage, Urayama Dam, Takizawa Dam, Aichi Canal, Nagaragawa Estuary Barrage and Lake Biwa.
Fortunately, we also got the quite well evaluation from both trainees and JICA this year. We’ll go all out for living up expectations from trainees and to do the better training course next year.
