The Country Focused Training Course in “Operation and Maintenance, Safety of Dams”
1. Purpose of the training
The training course is aimed to help the participants to understand how to build dams safely from geological survey to drawing construction planning and to operate and maintain those completed dams.
2. Course objectives
- To understand geological survey for dam construction
- To under stand foundation treatment for dam construction
- To understand design of fill dam
- To understand construction planning and construction of fill dam
- To understand daily operation and maintenance of fill dam
3. Target Group
Experienced engineers in the Ministry of Irrigation who are engaged in planning and design of dams or supervising of dam construction or operation and maintenance of dams and under 40 years of age.
