Since 2004 Kisogawa Canal Integrated Operation and Maintenance Office has been providing the local Nagaoka Elementary School students with the hands on experience of releasing juvenile red-spotted masu salmon fishes in collaboration with Aichi prefectural government and Kiso River Fishery Cooperative Association at Kisogawa Barrage so that they could learn the importance of natural conservation of Kiso River. In this year the similar event will be held, as follows:
