Website brochure "Let's Go and See Dams-Spring 2018"(Only Japanese) released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (=MLIT) features attractive spots of dams in spring, including Urayama Dam, which is managed by Japan Water Agency, and is located in Chichibu City, Saitama Prefecture, highlighting the cherry blossoms and the illuminated dam.

At Urayama Dam, illumination of dam body will be made to check the function of lighting the downstream side of the dam as part of the disaster prevention operation at night. The illumination of dam body will be made just on the 6th and the 7th of April only between 18:00 and 21:00.

As Urayama Dam is located not far from metropolitan Tokyo, it will be a memorable experience to drive through Chichibu City to the dam in a balmy spring night and observe a fantastic dam body emerging in the sky.
