Japan Water Agency (=JWA) is engaged in ensuring a stable supply of WATER, which is essential for people's lives through the construction and management of such important water management facilities as dams and canals, thus protects the lives of people.
As ISO55001 is the international standard for the asset management system that aims to maximize the value of assets by analyzing its costs, risks, opportunities, and performances, JWA found it quite beneficial for both its water users and itself to be certified for it, JWA applied for it and consequently. JWA's framework of the construction and management of facilities was officially certified for this ISO55001 in 2016.
