Dam cards are given to the visitors only on a one by one visitor basis at a particular dam site. In recent years there are increasing number of dams providing such dam cards, not only at the dams managed by Japan Water Agency but also at many other dams managed by other organizations as well. Such a dam card has the same format formalized by MLIT(=Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan), in other words, a photo of the dam on the front and the legend of the dam on the back. In the case of Iwaya Dam, they started providing the card from 2008 and this year they are going to commemorate its 40th dam management. At this turning point, they have decided to change the photo on the front to show the inspection discharge from the spillway in August 2017.

Please be reminded that those who want to collect the current version should come to the dam site as soon as possible because the old version will not be given at all effective 1 April, 2018.
